Our very popular and successful school consisting of a junior and senior school is located in Täby in a Northern suburb of Stockholm with easy access to the city centre. We seek an outstanding and creative English teacher to teach at our senior school in Täby for students aged 13-16. Teaching English at our school is a wonderful opportunity to combine the teaching of both English Language and Literature skills. Our school follows the Swedish National Curriculum for English, as a second language. However, in order to enhance and enrich our English learning we offer the Cambridge IGCSE English as First, Second and ASL level for our students. Our students are very successful in their English studies, achieving annually top results in the IES school organisation and in Sweden.
Are you an experienced teacher of IGCSE English who is interested in developing this further within our school? If you have experience of using Drama or Shakespeare in the classroom this would be an interesting area to develop within the team.

Our focus on Professional development includes the Cambridge PD for Bilingual Learners, Teaching and Learning and Middle Ed. leadership The role includes being a co- mentor to 16 students where we promote regular contact between the school and the home. A knowledge of Swedish or willingness to learn Swedish is of merit as is experience of a bilingual learning environment
